Joan Steinberg is the Global Head of Philanthropy and President of the Morgan Stanley Foundation, overseeing Morgan Stanley’s global philanthropic programs, including strategic planning and execution, employee engagement, and corporate and Foundation grantmaking.
Ms. Steinberg is also the CEO of the Morgan Stanley Alliance for Children’s Mental Health Advisory Board. In this role, she is instrumental in driving the Firm’s $50 million commitment to children’s mental health initiative which has already impacted more than 37 million children and their trusted adults globally since 2020.
Ms. Steinberg joined Morgan Stanley in 1997, after nine years in the nonprofit sector. She earned her undergraduate degree in English and Communications and her masters degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University. She also serves as member of the board of the Hispanic Federation.
