Rick Kellar has served as the President and CEO of Peg’s Foundation since 2005. He is a combat veteran serving a distinguished 28-year career in the U.S. Army, including notable service as a Special Forces Green Beret and combat dive team commander. He retired from service from the Joint Special Operations Command in 2014, having served in a special mission unit for over a decade. His service also included work at the Pentagon, where he held the pivotal role of Director of Resourcing for an Operations and Readiness Initiative, overseeing an $8.6-billion annual program.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

In addition to his professional activities, Rick has dedicated 17 years serving on the Tallmadge School Board. He remains actively involved in community initiatives, serving on the LeBron James Family Foundation Community Advisory Board, a founding member of CEO Alliance for Mental Health, and serving as a founding board member of Mindful Philanthropy. Rick’s contributions have been recognized with a Doctor of Science, honoris causa, awarded by Northeast Ohio Medical University.
