Sustaining Momentum in School-based Mental Health. School offers a critical point to meet young people where they are in supporting their mental health, but many youth still do not have access to the services and supports they need at school. This panel will examine: (1) challenges to sustainable school-based mental health service programming – where we will present our industry council paper on the topic; (2) promising state practices; (3) the role of private-sector players, and other innovative partnerships. as well as the role of managed care plans in ensuring Medicaid services for youth in schools; and (4) how federal agencies and Congress can take action to advance access to school-based mental health services and supports.
